For all you Geeks out there:
I have been hosting Porchmeat on my home server (PIII 600 w/384mb of Ram) since 2002. The machine had run 24hours a day 7 days a week since I brought it online (aside from when I physically moved it or updated the OS). It was running www services, MS Media services, email, Tango, Cold Fusion, PHP, .net, and on top of it all - It was my router and My VPN server (a little overloaded wouldn't you say) I couldn't put more memory in it because it only has 3 slots and I only had 128mb chips.. This machine has been a true workhorse. A couple of weeks ago the hard drive died.... Windows would hang when it would try to boot and I couldn't get the data out of it. Then I remembered my Knoppix bootable CD. I popped it in, it read the drive and I copied everything out to my other server (Dual PII 400 with 512mb ram). Linux read that which windows could not, it truely saved the day! GO LINUX! Long live Knoppix!! Special thanks to Thomas Luce for encouraging me to learn linux.

I have to say, this weekend was awesome! Tyff and I had a parents night out that was second to none! (Special thanks to Pooky and Skullboy for watching the kids!) The evening started with the Poison / Cinderella concert at the St Pete Times Forum! We had FLOOR SEATS! This venue is awesome so long as you're not in nose bleed. For the first time I just kicked back and relaxed, has taken me many years to learn this art. I had a beer, and a margarita there. Tyff made my dream, of going to a rock concert with a bon-a-fide hottie come true! We had a blast there! Poison sounded every bit as good as they did 20 years ago and the stage show was the best I've seen from them. We left a little early to beat the crowds and headed over to Ybor city, after calling in to Pooky and Skullboy to make sure they weren't being eaten alive by the kids. This was the first time in our 3 1/2 years of marriage of actually getting to go to a dance club together! We went to The Castle. Tyff had never been there, or to any other dance club before. We danced, drank, and had the time of our lives there. Tyff enjoyed black russians, and a long Island Ice Tea and she got to see me dance for the first time in public! I can't say enough good things about this weekend. The phrase "Today is the first day of the rest of your life" actually made sense. Thanks for reading. Going to try to update here more often.

Monday we finally got the ultrasound done for our 2nd child. Our main concern was for the babies heart but we were both dying to know the gender of our new bundle of joy too. I must say the woman that did the ultrasound really knew how to keep us biting our nails on that issue. After about 1/2 hour of scanning and looking at the baby's heart - she finally asked - so do you want to know the sex of the baby. We both said - Absolutely.. Then she had a scan in the right area and told us It's a BOY!!! We are both excited about the news. Shelby is going to have a baby brother and she seems excited too even though she's not totally sure what that means. The name we have chosen is Devon Wesley Johnson, but I must add that this is only because Tyff didn't like the names Rip or Olaf - LOL. We chose Devon because it's just cool and Wesley to honor Tyff's grandfather. The official due date for Devon is May 6, 2006 according to the ultrasound.

TRUE STORY: Today at Walmart Shelby did something new and exciting.. Tyff was getting groceries and I was looking for a new Jacket. I took Shelby with me (Riding in the back of the cart) to entertain her and to let Tyff shop in peace.
So there I am, I've found a nest of jackets that I like enough to wear and I decide to pick one and buy it. I looked through the rack, picked a jacket and started to try it on - when I heard Shelby saying those infamous words "PEE PEE DADDY!!! PEE PEE!!!".... I turned to assess the situation only to find my lovely daughter has stripped her pants off and is trying to pull her pull-up out of her onesie and has it half way down her leg on one side!! Like any father faced with this situation, I paniced, dropped the jacket on the floor, fixed the pull-up, and ran to find my wife who was sure to know what to do. I had Shelby in one arm and was dragging the cart with the other at TOP SPEED!!! I arrived in the meat aisle with a look on my face that Tyff had never seen before and our daughter with no pants on in my arms.... She calmed me down and somehow managed not to laugh too much as I told her what had happened.
My wife is truely a blessing in my life - Thank God for her....

Our little miss Shelby seems to have a plan in this picture.
What do you suppose her plan might be?

Sumerian astronomy spoke of a 12th planet in our solar system that orbits every 3600 years. They came up with 12 planets by counting the Sun and the Moon as planets. Their calculations for the orbits of all the other planets were accurate. It stands to reason that their calculations for the other unknown planet is also accurate. If you would like some more information on the subject please visit XFacts.com.
I have searched the web and found no reference to what the orbit of Planet X is actually suppose to be. Biblically Planet X is known as Wormwood. I welcome any comments you have, and I would be especially interested to know if anyone has the orbital data for Planet X.
